Evil Stuffin

"I think Crab, my dog, be the sourest-natured dog that lives."

- Wm. Shakespeare in Two Gentlemen of Verona

I know this is about a particular dog.... BUT I had to use my dog Stuffin.

One day back in highschool, I woke up at 5am to get ready, and she was on the couch, curled up, looking at me with big bloodshot eyes, with the meanest look on her face until I left for school. So I took a picture. My family calls it the "don't touch me look". She actually looks meaner in the photo... So this quote reminded me of that. :)

The tentacles of the giant Arctic jellyfish can reach 120 feet (36.6 meters) in length

I realized after I finished this... that somebody had already done one pretty similar to this with the whole scuba diver thing. I didn't copy I swear! :o)

I absolutely fell in love with this quote.

HAD I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet,
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams

W.B. Yeats

It reminds me of my mom :)

Rethinking... I think I like the tattoo better without the red....

FTF #1:

"Nothing measurable matters"
-e.e. Cummings

This is my completed tattoo design... The tattoo had to represent something about myself.
1. I love America and patriotic images
2. I love animals.... I'm a vegan (1 year this month!).. hence the Charles Darwin quote.
3.A more subtle symbol: the bandana represents America and also one of the only memories I have of my dad, who died when I was 4.

I really wanted to use traditional American Sailor tattoo style and use of color, and more specifically use of the eagle as a patriotic symbol.

Another veront landscape painting... finished Friday Aug 7.

8x10 in. acrylic on canvas

And not related fully to anything I should be posting... here are pictures of my first garden :)

This is an acrylic painting I did inspired by a mountain side road in Vermont. The canvas is 18x24 inches, the color looks a tad bit off in the bottom picture. The top picture is pretty accurate.

This is just my extension on the whole playing card thing. I love the idea of camping.

This is a portrait of my boyfriend, Chris, who was nice enough to sit for 6 hours. I used acrylic and the size is about 3ft by 4ft.

This is just an Easter Greeting card I have been working on in Illustrator.
I think I have come to a point where I am happy with the palette, and I like leaving the chocolate bunny as a flat object.

I love Easter. It reminds me of hopscotch and jacks and running around my house looking for eggs filled with candy. My mom still hides eggs for me and my sisters (Me and my twin are 20, and Jen is 24). And yes, we take it seriously.
